I understand the basic idea, of like green stuff mold casting, but not sure what to use for it, like the material.
(I need to make some very oop bits).
Any advice will be great.

A new day, a new time zone.

More green stuff, various other kinds of putty, depending on your preference.

What other kinds of putty? I have some heads of my own design I wish to duplicate.

Yeah, go to any hobby store and go to their sculpting department. You will find several types of quickset silicone mold casting compounds and two part liquid resin for casting.

Its been my experance that using green stuff for mold making only really works well if one edge is perfectly flat and you can press the putty onto the piece. For round bits and things with lots of spiky angles you really want a flexable silicone mold.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

My main reproduction is my home made oop goblin head.
I wanted to make a 9th age common goblin army, (I am going to need so many) and wanted to spice up the old heads with new heads, my designs.
So they got the face on one side and a hole on the other lol

I've been using Easycast and it works fine for me. Though I don't use greenstuff as a moulding material, I use either instant mould (oyumaru) for press moulds or silicone if I need a full mould.

The cost of casting adds up pretty quick and it can be a very time consuming endeavour.
