I'm new to this site( so sorry if this is in the wrong place) and haven't been able to find any recent information on what exactly the narthecium does. I've been unable to find anything in the codex besides it giving you the option to add it to one Terminator. What exactly does this upgrade do for you?

Haven't picked up my DA codex in a bit but if memory serves me right it confers FNP on the unit.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

gives FNP to the command squad. can only be given to a single squad. in the army

The rules for the Narthecium are the last entry on page 152 of the DA Codex.

Note that the reason it's significantly cheaper than other Nartheciums is that you swap a Power Fist for it in the Deathwing Command Squad.
