Hey all,

Still a bit of a beginner, I've been playing for about 2 years with friends that have been playing well over a decade, and having lots of fun playing (losing) at orks. We're going to play a friendly tourney at the cottage this weekend and I'd like to at least almost win a round!

My friends all have a couple armies, but I'll probably be up against some form of Eldar, some form of Space Marine, Tyranids, or Militarum Tempestus.

I'm torn between two lists.

CAD -749 pts
HQ
Zhadsnark (warlord)
Warboss /w Mega armour, da lucky stikk, BP, PK, Twin-Linked Shoota
Mek /w KMB

ELITES
Manz unit (1 boss /w killsaws, 1 /w komb-scorcha, 1 w/ twin linked shoota)
Dedicated Transport: Trukk /w RR, Rokkit Launcha

TROOPS
Zhadsnark's Warbikers (1 nob BP PK, 2x warbiker
Zhardnark's Warbikers (1 nob BC, 2x warbiker )

FAST ATTACK
Warbuggy /w Twin-linked rokkit launcha

HEAVY SUPPORT
5x lootas
Lobba, 1 extra gretchin

Idea with this list is to push manz in opponents face as soon as possible while also having two biker mobs on the table. Warboss would tank hits with lucky stikk and mek would join that unit to eat challenges. I think this is my more balanced list.
EDIT: Reviewing the rules for zhard, I don't think I'm able to take that lobba... will need to think of something to replace it

Idea here is two mobs of bikes, with 1 warbuggy for twin linked rokkit goodness. Warboss goes with nobbikers to use lucky stikk to reroll jink saves, zhard goes with warbikers.


Ideas? Suggestions? I could possibly reduce the number of bikers in the second list and add a unit of Tankhuntas but if my friend plays nids, I will have no targets. If one of my opponents plays Mil. Tempestus then I'd have lots of targets but I have PKs for that.
I also have a couple trukks, a battlewagon, about 50 boyz, 8 lootas & 2 meks, a big mek, a painboy....


Any suggestions or criticism are very much appreciated!

I don't think you can take bikes as troops any more but I have a simple solution...

2 gretchin as troops
2 looted wagons with kill cannons and rokkit launchas.

Going with list 1 lose the lootas lobba and waf buggies,
Move the bikes to fast attack,

If you have to lose the MAN turn them in and convert 1 bike unit go nob bikers.... Don't be afraid to arm them with uge Choppas. These are effective against most vehicles and you have a warboss with a PK to add to each.

Something like this if you can

Warboss w PK and Lucky stick on bike (135)
3 Nob Bikers w UCh on Bike (150)

Warboss w PK on bike (110)
3 Nob Bikers w UCh and Waagh Banner (so both groups get WS 5) (170)

10 grots and Slaver (35)
1 Looted Wagon w Kill Cannon and 3 Rokkit Launchas (83)

10 grots and Slaver (35)
1 Looted Wagon w Kill Cannon and 3 Rokkit Launchas (83)

You are setting up for a fast force.. If this leaves you with any points I would recommend either plain bikers or stormboys with a nob w PK If you dont have enough points downgrade one nob biker to regular bikes.

Why do you think i can't add bikes as troops anymore? I know it's forgworld but I doubt my opponents will mind.

I think your first list is better, theborbes, but I would change it a bit. Firstly the Mek probably shouldn't have a KMB - half as often as he hits his target he dies from Gets Hot! and you lose a 20 point character and your challenge-acceptor. However, I don't think he's even necessary in this list. At such a low points game your spending 270 points on two models, one of which is essential to your list and the other doesn't really add anything at all. If you remove the Mek, Mega Armour Warboss, the Mek Gun you aren't allowed and the Warbuggy that probably won't do anything important you can get another unit of Mega Nobz in a Trukk, more Lootas or more Warbikers. If you do remove the Warboss the Mega Nobz could use a bosspole, even if it means they cut the kombi to get it.
