Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

Boston

Hey all,

I've been thinking about the possibilities involved with the new bag of tricks that is imperial veterans and came up with this list as a way of testing the waters. I admit I've never used a bomber before (played a few games with the tie punisher tho') so I might be loading a bit much on a relatively fragile frame.

==================
100 points

The Inquisitor (34)
TIE Advanced Prototype (25), Push the Limit (3), Proton Rockets (3), TIE/v1 (1), Autothrusters (2)

Rexler Brath (37)
TIE Defender (37), Juke (2), TIE/x7 (-2)

Gamma Squadron Veteran (29)
TIE Bomber (19), Deadeye (1), Flechette Torpedoes (2), Extra Munitions (2), Homing Missiles (5), Long Range Scanners (0)

I'm considering dropping the flachette torps (cheap 3 dice missiles just so the bomber will almost certainly not run out before dieing), the prockets and juke to give Rexler a defender -D, flachette cannons, Engine mk 2 and a different EPT (VI comes to mind, but rage has some appeal also )

Thoughts, comments, criticism?

Long Range Scanners. After turn 2 your going to be inside range pretty much the entire time and wont be able to T/L (Deadeye takes care of that)...but I think Guidance Chimps will give you more hits turn for turn with all those missiles.
Maybe Cluster Missiles instead so you can try to strip tokens on the first shot and get damage in on the second.
Overall, I think it would be much more devastating to replace the bomber with palpmobile. Maybe dump the Prockets to bump the shuttle up to Yorr so he can pull the stress off the INQ when he pushes the limit.
