So my local GW is doing a Badab War Narrative Campaign, and I and some of my friends are joining. As per the rules of the campaign, any of the Forge World Badab War characters can be used as their respective types for formations, so characters like Carab Cullin can be used in place of a Chapter Master, Pellas Mir'san can be used instead of a Captain, and so on. There are also little restrictions on list-building, bar the idea that the lists shouldn't be super competetive, and should fit the marrative. So no showing up with Tau allies, but formations are entirely fine, and, in fact, encouraged.

Anyways, I've decided to go with the Marines Errant, as I was fascinated by the idea of a Void Combat focused chapter, and I really liked their color scheme. They were especially prevalent, as the Zone Mortalis rules will be in effect throughout the campaign in certain battles, especially in the first phase. That said, this list is meant to be more of a fluffy list then a competitive one, as most people are building for the campaign as well. Anyways, onto the list.

Company Command Squad (5) 180 Points

First Company Task Force

Cataphractii Terminator Squad (5) 220 Points

Cataphractii Terminator Squad (5) 195 Points
- 4x Dual Lightning Claws
- Heavy Flamer, Lightning Claw
- Grenade Harness

Sternguard Veteran Squad (5) 165 Points
- 5x Combi-Plasmas
- Power Sword

As you can see, the primary function of this list is a drop assault force coupled with a First Company Task Force for some extra hitting power. Most everything comes in through Drop Pods, while the Terminators and Sternguard will teleport in. Yes, the Sternguard can and will be teleporting into the battlefueld, thanks to Anton's Dark Void Elite.

As for suggestions, my primary questions concern whether this list fits the theme of the Marines Errant and their tactics, as well as how viable this army will be against primarily Space Marine opponents. The Sternguard and Command Squad I designed specifically for nuking Terminators, of which I know most people are bringing, and the Tactical Squads were kitted out mostly to take on the enormous amount of vehicles I will likely see, as most people are bringing full Battle Companies too, or are bringing plenty vehicles otherwise. The main areas of concern for me were the Assault Squads and Devastator Squads, as they aren't exactly kitted out as est as they could be. Any suggestions there, as well as for the whole of the army, would be greatly appreciated. However, it must be noted that this is for a narrative campaign, so I'm not looking to change my list into anything highly competitive. Still, this is a campaign dictated by how well each side does, so while I don't want to bring a crushing victory list, I still want a force that can perform well on the tabletop, and have a good chance at winning out against other Marine armies.
