So my friend is considering starting 30k and he wants to play iron warriors as he likes the whole, heavy support/artillery focus. He asked me to help him write a fluffy list with that in mind and I'd like to know how I've done?

Short story long: this is fluffy (more so for DG, but still IW) but it's also an donkey-cave cheese list. you're pumping out 36 poison (3+), AP: 3 templates on TOP of the medusas being able to do the same thing, but better. Not many people will joyfully play you as support batteries are amazingly strong.

Maxing out phospex is the fastest way to loose friends. One unit of those is okayish. Iw also like tanks amd lots of line infantry. Getting 2 blobs with apothecary and a ww scorpius and some iron havocs for anti tank will be more fun and also fluffy

Do you have the slots to split the rapier support battery into three? i found that three in one unit gives overkill and they willl do better being able to target separate units.
If you can do the same with the medusae that would be good too, but that would also require 4 HS slots or grouping the whirlwinds together with what you have currently.

Since the age of darkness foc has 4 elite slots, yes I can split up the quad guns. I believe I can only have one artillery tank squadron in my army so that's not an option. Also, the whirlwind scorpius can only be taken as individual units.

Ah, shame.

Both list wont make many friends. Fluffy as heck, but Scorpius/Rapier Mortars are broken when spammed. Take 1 unit of each max to keep your opponents.
