Hello! I was wondering if anyone had more info on the actual battlefield role rules for artillery and warscroll battalions? As it stands I can never take Artillery with my Spiderfang Venom Mob without adding 200-400 points of hard battleline units as a tax...so does anyone have info from the descriptions of how those units interact with list building and allegiance reqs, if at all? Would make sense for Battalions and Artillery to allow you to by-pass the battleline reqs or am I just wishful thinking?

Just wishful thinking. Taking Artillery from units outside any faction keyword would break any faction allegiance you had meaning your Battleline units would have to be generic Destruction battleline units.

Darn. I just remember reading in the destruction leaks that battlefield roles were discussed earlier in the book, was hoping maybe they had other things to them than just the force org...so trolls for little games and I guess just suck it up and either add more damn spiders and only spiders or go buy 40 savage orrucks either way...damn...

I have only had a quick flick through the book, but there was this section after the points that talked about "points only games" where you ignore the restrictions and just use the flat values whilst taking what ever you wanted. Maybe you could ask your opponent to play that with you?
