Hi all,

I have been working on a fluffy list for the Inquisition army I am in the process of making, this is what I have thought up so far and having not bought most of the models I wondered if there is anything I'm doing wrong or could be improved that I am blatantly missing!

Combined Arms: Militarum Tempestus

HQ:

Command Squad: 145: Medi-pack, 3 x Meltaguns, Bolt pistol + Power sword (Tempestor Prime)

Lord Commissar: 90: Carapace armour, power sword

Troops:

Scions(5): 90: 2 x Hot-shot volley guns

Scions(5): 90: 2 x Hot-shot volley guns

Scions(5): 90: 2 x Meltaguns

Scions(5): 80: 2 x Flamers

Inquisition Detachment: Inquisition:

HQ:

Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor: 78: Power armour, Psyker, Condemnor boltgun, Chainsword

Ordo Malleus Inquisitor: 93: Power armour, Psyker, Psybolt ammunition, Combi-Melta, Daemonblade

Elites:

Henchman Warband(10): 163: 4 x Crusaders, 4 x Arco-flagellant, Acolyte w/ Flamer, Priest

Henchman Warband(10): 163: 4 x Crusaders, 4 x Death Cult Assassins, Acolyte w/ Flamer, Priest

Henchman Warband(3): 18: Psyker, 2 x Acolytes w/ Chainsword and Laspistol

Officio Assassinorum Detachment:

Elites:

Vindicare Assassin: 150

Tactics:

My first thought is to make use of the deep strike ability of the MT but in doing so does leave me a bit light for troops on the field, so I am torn between deep striking all MT or just deep striking the melta and flamer squads to get close to tanks/ objectives and clear off some of the enemies in preparation for the 10 man melee units to get up to finish off the rest. I intend to use the 2 volley gun units to hold midfield objectives as they can produce a lot of firepower when stationary.

The plan for the inquisition is to run an Inquisitor in each warband, point them towards enemies and watch them kill things. The Daemonblade is in there as some of the random abilities are cool and I think it would be an interesting modelling/ painting opportunity as almost everything within the Inquisition portion will be as I'm converting the majority of the models

The plan for the assassin is to find him an ideal snipers nest where he can see most things and pick off unit sergeants or characters.

Thats the 1250 list.. C & C is appreciated.. not wanting it to be super competitive but not wanting to lose every game.. it's a fluffy list really!

I am also building an Inq/MT force, but with SoB in the mix. My main Q is where are the transports? I have the feeling that most armies will shoot you off the table before you ever get near them with those melee henchmen. Also Arco-Flagellants are terrible and (I believe) the same point cost as Death Cult Assassins, so I would just swap those out. WS5, one more attack, one more Str, AP3 all seem worth more than FNP to me...but maybe I'm crazy.

Also I'd probably fill out my MT Command squad with the full compliment of 4 HSVG...and just point them at things that I want to die. Then maybe take more melta squads and go with that instinct to DS if you're not going to take transports...

Also what does that tiny Henchmen Warband with the psyker and two acolytes do? Points better spent on Servo Skulls and wargear maybe...

Currently focusing on Traitor Guard

Your MT command squad is always going to be squishy and with the current setup of 3 meltaguns they're going to have to get damn close to start shooting.

It may be wise to try and equip an inquisitorial henchman unit with meltas instead

Grey Knights - 3500pts
SKitarii - 4000pts
Ad mech - 2000pts
Imperial Knights - 1000pts
Black Templars - 3200pts
