Subject: Round bases or squares?

Hello!
I just started dipping my toes into AoS by buying the Seraphon Start Collecting and the Skeleton Horde Start Collecing. I have loved the few games we have played with these few miniatures and I'm looking to expand.
Now to my question; do the Skeleton Warriors and the Black Knights only have the round bases in the Start Collect and not when bought separately? Also the Grave Guard is showing round bases in the Warscroll but not on the site when buying.
Thanks in advance!

Generally the older boxes will have squares still since they haven't been repackaged with the circles yet. So the newer stuff like the start collecting boxes would or should have the round bases even if they're older ones that are still stuck with squares at the moment. It's annoying for now but they'll all eventually have round bases in all of them.

First and foremost, bases don't matter unless you want them to, officially. But I think it's fair to say majority of AoS players tend to default to base to base measurement, and I know a lot of people who just prefer the aesthetic of round bases. RIght...
For the most part, any GW kits that still have the 'old' WFB branding on them will contain square bases, and AoS branded boxes will contain rounds, but this only happens when stuff gets updated - so for example, ghouls are now found in AoS flavour, but skellies aren't - apart from the AoS start-collecting boxes.
SO - If it's new stuff it's got a round base, if it's old stuff it's got a square base, unless it's old stuff in a new box. Clear?

Thanks for the clarification!
It's only for the looks, nothing else. It's just me and 2 friends playing so measuring is sloppy anyway
Don't want to mix bases, thats all

That got me thinking, what is the default base in AoS? 25mm or 32mm?

It's also my understanding that most Daemon kits come with both since they are cross-compatible with 40k, which has used rounds for quite a while (relatively new player, so don't smite me if this is wrong).

Depends. Smaller stuff (ghouls, skeletons, goblins, etc) all go to 25, but mid size guys (chaos warriors) go to 32. The easy way to figure is 20mm square =25mm round, 25mm square =32mm round.

I think it'll move more toward 32 as the minis get 'wider'.

Thank you, I didn't know there was different square base sizes.
