I hate to disagree but I don't find this epic at all. It's ok fan art, but to me this doesn't look like Nurgle. I guess this what happens when you use computers instead of pencil or another medium Nurlge doesn't come out as grotesque as they should.

Are those giant tentacles in the back ground or suppose to be 100s or 1000s of troops marching into battle? To me another cheap fail on GW part. Not wanting to spend the money to make an awesome product.

Even the Giant Rat guy (keep forgetting his name, dang old age) doesn't look as epic as he should.

Again art is subjective just like you think it's epic I don't. Now I remember why I don't buy the books just not worth it for me. Might be worth it for others, but not for me and GW is not getting my money that way.

*edit* Oh my. out of 18 pictures I think I like 6 of them. The 6 I like I would say are good. The rest, again, OH MY, not great and there are some really horrible pics there.

Thanks again for the sneak peeks, Wellofeternity!

I really like these besides the Nurgle focused ones.

Makes me want to expand my Stormcast force.

True considering they released the audio drama in book form I suspect nagash is planning something. It's clear he has something in mind for a certain lord celestant and mannfred.

As always there are some great arts and some are totally rubish but for me there is also a great improvement between older AoS arts and thelast one from All Gates.

Loads of really great pieces. What I love about the art now is they have more artistic license to show things which aren't from the tabletop (mainly the cities and massive buildings). AoS lore is really getting to a good stage at last - it's almost tempting me to get one of these books! But I think I'll hold off until Free Peoples start to play a bigger part in the story as I would like something to sit along with my main faction.

Going to post some artwork and reasons I like them:

Epic! Reminds me of Minas Morgul. I love seeing larger than life architecture that AoS is great for.

Wow, what a cool looking city. I would love to know a bit more about this one. Looks awesome though.

I think this is my favourite piece. Sometimes a really dynamic angle or scene is all we need. This looks so cool with the Nurgle forces buzzing overhead.

While I don't think this is a great piece technically. It's still intriguing me, mainly the dudes at the bottom with their hands out ready to recieve something. Are those mortal humans enslaved by Nurgle?

Ssssshhhhhhh. Remember, everything GW does is original work, they don't get ideas from other sources.

Right after glancing through and reading the Death all gate blurb. Nagash is plotting something for sure. I mean the audio drama's were made into a official realm gate book and he did not turn up for the big she bang. Plus the events in the audio drama shows that he is planning for something.

Destruction is punking the other factions as always.

Some of that stuff is seriously impressive, maybe the best I've seen from GW in the last couple of years.

And some looks like it should be on DeviantArt with a 'WIP' tag in the title...

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I don't think the picture in the OP was computer generated. And the background troops looking like little more than tentacles is pretty common in this style of artwork, the focus is on the foreground characters while the background is basically filled out in a vague way to represent vast armies in the distance. GW has been using that style for as long as I can remember (look at any of Blanche's artwork).

The OP pic was digitally painted. Any other points about that are purely interpretation as art is obviously subjective by nature. It being digital doesn't mark it as good or bad. The background fill is indeed typical and well done, foreground is meh, its not great but hardly bad. Issue is there's no real focus as the images composition is muddled. Some the pieces further down the page that Bottle posted are really cool imo, very interesting to see GW really going all out high fantasy.

Yeah I will not complain about the art being bad because it's digital anymore, I realize where I made a mistake in it. Actually found some nice digital art. Sadly non of them from GW.

For me, all I can just say is that GW for the last 2 years have just sucked. I don't like it in 40K, and I am defiantly not liking them in AoS.

I don't like the art work that GW does in 40K to show the varying armies in different colours and/or schemes. That followed to AoS. When I see the different versions of Stormcasts I just shudder at that artwork. Then all these pics coming out, don't inspire me at all.
