I've been wanting to make a DA list that featured terminators for a while. Recently I bit the bullet and completed a small DW Strike force made of a DW command squad and Term squad with a librarian as HQ. Now I'm trying to find what else fits best to make it to 1500.

Both squads have 1 shield/hammer and chain fist. The command squad has a CML, champ, apothecary, and the banner. The terminators have an assault cannon. With the libby being level 2 this all comes to around 620 points.

Initially I was thinking of doing dual command squads with a ravenwing strike force. But beyond a command squad and MoA chaplain I'm not sure what else would work.

So with the remaining ~880 points, what should I do, what would you do? I'll leave this fairly open, the biggest caveat is I'd rather it be more elite than swarm, and something I can make without buying a ton of different boxes. Thanks for any ideas or advice. (I'm looking for flgs competitive, not trying to win any tournaments.)

Given those constraints, a pile of Ravenwing Black Knights seems an obvious choice. If you're looking for low model count, also check out the Dark Angel Librarius Conclave. It's not as good as the Space Marine one, but ~*DANGELS*~.

If you're really open to any imperial, you can explore things like Ravenguard drop pod detachments and add Locator Beacons to the drop pods. Or Grey Knight Nemesis Strike Force for Null Deployment one-two punch. Or mobile elite units like Skitarii Ironstriders, mechanized Astra Millitarum Chimeras or Tempestus Taurox boxes (also with locator beacons).

Or get through the first turn with resilience and firepower: Imperial Knights, Cohort Cybernetica, Riptide Wing, or fortifications.

Definitely go with RWSF. Deathwing and Ravenwing were made to work together. Take a RW Command Squad with 6 men, including Apothecary and Champion and possibly the RW banner. Take either a Libby on a bike or an Interrogator-chaplain on a bike with the Mace of Redemption. Fill out the detachment with a Darkshroud and squads of Grav Bikes and/or Black Knights.

Thanks for the replies. You certainly gave me some things to think about. Taking your ideas into consideration here is what I'm thinking of for the list. Let me know what you think.

Interrogator Chaplain on bike with the MoR
Libby in terminator armor, level 2 with foesmiter

Deathwing Command squad (from first post)
Terminator squad (same)
Venerable Dread in pod (flamer and assault cannon)

Ravenwing command squad (5 Knights), apothecary, champion, banner

2x MM attack bikes
2x Landspeeder Typhoons

This comes to 1500, but I definitely could swap a lot of wargear / weapon options. Everything is either DW or RW strike force. I see a lot of synergy and love the idea of double command squads. All thoughts appreciated.
