The idea here is that the vets go and grab objectives whilst yarrick hides in a blob squad and gives orders. I know there is no AA however my meta has little to no flyers under 2000 points (2500 being the norm for flyers). Any help would be appreciated thanks

No Yarrick. He's a cool and fluffy dude and everything and I would put him in an Armageddon Steel Legion army in a heartbeat, but you get the exact same effect with a Company Command Squad and a regular old Commissar for 60 points less. Additionally, you're very static. You do have the two Mech-Vet squads, but they won't cut it as your only objective grabbers in a 2,000 point game. Consider losing one of the Infantry Platoons for two more Mech-Vet squads. You're spending lots of points on tank upgrades. In principle, the best practice is to keep your tanks cheap and cheerful so that you can take more tanks. The Beast Hunter shells seem good on paper, but they're a small blast that scatters with a BS3 crew. I would consider replacing these with Demolishers to support your Mech-Vet advance up close and personal.

I hope this helps!

Beast hunter shells are bs4 (tank commander and commissar) and also twin linked if the heavy stubber hits first.

I will take into consideration dropping a blob squad for more vets but then I might as well take the emperors blade assault company?
Or I could take the recon company for outflanking armoured sentinels?
Thanks for the advice though!

Personally I find the beasthunters amazing. It's actually on a bs4 platform that can get twinlinked if just one of the 3 coaxial shots hit.

Have to agree that yarrick is just not worth it unless going fluffy, you'll find a ccs much better, especially with a banner of the 113th for fearless bubble to hold the line.

putting an extra troop choice into the armoured battlegroup to make ia CAD rather than an allied as some people can get uppity about thembeing the same faction. Could do another russ or an armoured fist squad. drop the sponsons on the russes as well, rarely use them and the points could be put into anti grenade mesh on the demolisher (it can be a lifesaver).

Consider taking the heavy weaponteams out of the infantry squads and making heavy weapon squads. Gives more mobility to the infantry and lets you get more from your orders. With my platoons I generally run four squads, two with gl's and two with flamers, they then pair into 20 man squads with a flamer and a gl each.

34 points for an inquisitor with servoskulls can save your tanks from sneaky infiltrate shenanigans.

Overall looks quite good

I'm worried about there being no bodies in front of the heavy weapon teams to soak up bullets so that's why I put them in the squads - anyone else run into this problem? I can imagine 3 T3 5+ las cannons being a big target that will die to a stiff breeze

Get them hugging cover and if you get a telepth in a ccs hope for shrouding, helps to buff survivability

I don't like any heavy weapons in my Infantry Squads, save the autocannon (and only because its 3 shots somewhat mitigate your crappy BS3). Not to mention you have to keep them static the entire game, which sorta defeats the purpose of the priest. I'd save the lascannons for other platforms -- either ally in some rapier batteries or put them on a vendetta. I also wouldn't waste BS4 on vets with anything other than Plas/Melta. Personally, seeing how bad off the AM/IG are right now, I think the only way to run them is all or nothing, meaning either drown the enemy in bodies, or go with a full armored company with arty support. When you dabble in a bit of each, it's pretty easy to pop the few vehicles you have and wipe out the infantry.. if you go heavy one way or the other, there are a lot of matchups that will go in your favor (obviously some that won't).
