Hey all

I'm a novice in the WH40K world, but I'm keen to start collecting and playing. I should say that I have almost zero interest in the actual assembly and painting but I'm super keen on the game play. Are there any others out there like me? Did you learn to love all aspects of the game or are you still only interested in playing it?

I'm tossing up between SM(Salamanders) and Blood Angels. Persuade me haha

Any ways that's the briefest of summaries about my experience and interests with WH40K, I hope to hear from you guys!

I'm actually quite the opposite! I love assembly and painting but I'm not that much into the gameplay, as much as I'd like too. The rules are just a bit messy.

How long have you been into WH40K? Have you posted any cool pictures of your models I could have a look at? I may not be into painting but I love to look at all the great things people can do with a brush

Sadly I don't really have anything to take photos with. I'll try to once I paint some better stuff, currently there isn't much to look at.


I've been into 40k for a year but I took a break for a while and now I'm back. Current army is Necrons, I plan to paint Tau or Space Wolves in the future.

Yeah you should it would be great to see some of your stuff

I love the lore of the Space Wolves, I was tossing up between them, Blood Angels, and Salamanders but cut them out because it looks like everyone is playing them.

I have a tiny bit of experience with Blood Angels, they're really fun but they were a bit annoying to paint. Jumping in at dudes with Jump Packs and beating the hell out of them is fun.

Blood Angels do sound quite awesome, but I think I've headed in the Salamanders direction. Flaming and melting my opponents face is too good to pass up. I might post a list from BattleScribe to get some advice when I have the time.
