Thinking about grabbing some because these just plain look cooler, but I was wondering if people would have a problem with this. I really want to make a force that can be used in both 30K and 40K with a lot of the models.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all. |

The Deimos webstore entry description says "The rules for the Rhino can be found in Codex: Space Marines."
They've replaced the old painted examples because of the custom made headlights on the original, but the old painted examples were from the Astral Claws chapter.

Personally I would have no issue whatsoever. And I agree, they do look cooler.
|
Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you. |

Considering that the "Deimos" pattern was the Rhino for 40K for 20+ years I think people will cope.

One of the best things about this hobby is that you get to customize and create your own stuff. Warhammer used to require you to scratch build models to represent things because they didn't have models for them yet.
This includes using better looking models to represent what you are using on the battlefield. As long as it bares some similarity and weapon options as what you are trying to represent, there should be no problem with your models.

Square Bases for Life!
AoS is pure garbage
Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K
40K is fantasy in space, not sci-fi |

As long as you're still using the 40k rules for them, no one would care.
People are still using the original MK4 rhinos from 20 years ago without issue, there's no way anyone would pick a bone with you for using a conversion kit of the current rhino.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
