Hi guys,

I am thinking about my first AoS army and have 2 options: wood elves or dark elves.

Did not pick General Rulebook yet but does it have points for wood elves? What would you say about WE?
Are there any formations for WE?

I have run a Wanderers Army for a bit. They are fun and shoot-y. Never played with the Dark Elves. With the Wood elves Sisters of the Watch are awesome, especially if you face a lot of Chaos. There are lots of heroes as well. Glade Guard do alright, pretty standard, Eternal guard are great in cover. Points in the GHB. I think there is one or two formations, nothing to write home about.

Darkling Covens have some decent options. I would use Spears for Battleline and Executioners for big hitters. Load up on Sorcs and Sorcs on Dragons and fill out with Serpentis stuff.
