The Start Collecting box or the half of the Age of Sigmar Starter Set?

Depends, money-wise the start collecting box is probably the better option. Unlike the starter set half, the full kits for liberators and prosecutors are included. You do get more models with the starter set (no options though) and that'll take you farther in matched play.

I have seen the starter box going for $70 - so you get more out of it but less options. Our store was getting rid of AoS starters and I grabbed 4 for $200, so I have a massive army. I've just been bitsing my other options.

I would check around. You could always trade the chaos side for more SE stuff.

I'd say the starter set you get a good core of liberators and a unique character (lord relictor) who is a pretty good supporter you have a dracoth boss and winged dudes as well. Over all its a more rounded force. The get started set only gives you 2 retributors and in match play you pay for 5 though the other models (liberators/prosacuters) it seems like all the options. For me its the big start box and if you swap/sell the chaos side you could have a good sized storm army or pay less (after sales) for the box.

If you're doing Matched Play, the Extremis Chamber lacks any Battleline units.
