Premise:

-Warbike Outriders have the Scouts Special Rule in their profile in Codex Armageddon.

-In their description of the Scout Special Rule it states that they move 2D6" before you roll to see who goes first.  Normal Movement Rules Apply.

Problem:


-The 4th edition rulebook for the Scouts Universal Special Rule states that units that have this special rule may make a free Scout Move before you roll to see who goes first.  Normal Movement Rules apply.

This makes it seem as if the Outriders can now make a Scout Move at their full 12" instead of having to go 2D6" since the 4th ed codex would update the Scout special rule in their profile.

Question: Do they get to move 12" or 2D6" before the start of the game?

The Codex Specific "Scout" rule is completely overwritten by the rule of the same name in the BGB. The same is true for all USRs on those two pages in the BGB.

I believe they could also turbo boost and move 24" before the game begins.. though I could be wrong, Space Marine scout bikers specifically say they may not as I recall, and they are the only other scouting bike unit.
