Curious regarding the choice to equip crisis suits with twin-linked fusion and a plasma rifle. It would seem more points efficient to either go dual plasma, dual fusion, or one of each rather than mix them up and pay 30 more points than your other squad. Could you explain the reasoning?

Doubling his odds of hitting, at 12" or less both weapons are effectively twin-linked. It is expensive but a very effective armor/mc/GC hunting setup.

Ok, I get what you are saying, but for 10 points less per suit he could have either two fusion blasters for a possible two hits with each shooting. Or he could have 2 plasma rifles. This would give him 2 to 4 shots depending on what range he is at. Or fusion/plasma and have 1 shot at 24" to 18", 2 shots at 18" to 12", and 3 shots at 12' and under. The 30 points saved over the span of the three suits will pay for another suit and part of its weapon loadout. I personally think that more shots is better. If my weapon has one shot and I twin-link, the most hits I can get is one. But if I can take two of the weapon instead then I can get two hits which is better than twin-link as I can hit twice with two rolls instead of once. Also the markerlights should make the need for twin-linking moot. If I am hitting on 2's, twin-linking really isn't going to help that often. But another chance to wound, is a great benefit. I think the only time twin-linking is better is when you have multiple shots, the weapon has the Gets Hot rule, or can't take the weapon more than once.

Believe me, I would if I had them. My next forgeworld order will be Tetras.

That loadout is designed for versatility, much like Fireknife. I run the Fusion Blaster twinlinked to make absolutely sure that it hits. My Crisis Suits generally operate outside of markerlight support, so them being able to function without Markerlights is important. In this list, Markerlights will mostly be used to buff the Broadsides, perhaps the Y'vahra for ignores cover haywire, and the Barracuda to make up for jinking.
