Hi all,

Just wondering what the Wargaming/gaming scene is like in and around Greenwich, in south east London - I'm soon to be attending university there, and I'd like to get a sense of what to expect! Are there any clubs/stores around? What do people play? If not, are there many players nearby?

Thanks guys!

There's an LGS called Warboar Paradice in Bromley which has a pretty active community. It's a bit difficult to get there from Greenwich (bus to Lewisham and another to Bromley) but it's a good place with good people

Couple of clubs in Catford and Dulwich way. WarBoar is excellent, and from Greenwich by train Darksphere is also pretty good. What do you play?

Always looking to meet SE London gamers for Saga, Frostgrave.

I play 40k and MTG as it stands, I'm a former X-wing player too. I'm also big on D&D and Edge of the Empire RPG's.

Really though, I'm happy with whatever the local playerbase plays - I just wanna join in!

It would not be too far to come to HATE Club in Bethnal Green every so often. HATE Club is awesome.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

All of these places look reachable and awesome. It should be noted that I am not, and do not intend to become, a particularly competitive player I just want to play for fun! Any indication on what the meta is like in these places?

Is there a decent 40k scene there?
