Hi all,

This is my first army that I've now painted up (finally!) and want to start playing some games. I would really appreciate two things:

1. Any feedback on the list and fine-tuning it.
2. I do want to expand this out to become more "fluffy" and go up to circa. 1,850 points. What would this list benefit from with those two things in mind? I'm thinking a Wraith Host, which would easily take this up to those sorts of points.

looks like a solid list but I don't know why warpspiders and not dark reapers...better ap and the chance to upgrade to S 8. For a one thousand point list all those scatter lasers seem scary I'm prepping for a 1000 point tournament and I think your list hits all my weaknesses. only those spiders seem out of place...do you run a certain craftworld?

I would drop the sunrifle on the Exarch and add an additional hawk to get the large blast version of the Grenade pack. I would also swap out the warp spiders for Dark Reapers, 3 including Exarch all with Star shot missiles 4 strength 8 ap 3 shots will give you some higher strength shots at range for 114pts

A Wraithost is expensive so you would probably be better just sticking some wraith units into your CAD or you could have an Aspect Host and a Wraith host

I would keep the warp spiders, shooting str6 against I is never wrong and dont forget the 6s to wound.becomes ap2. The movement on the spiders are insane and you could also use em to block movement on your opponent. They are very versetile,

Mostly agree with the comments so far, although Warp Spiders are arguably the best infantry unit in 40k (warp spider lists regularly win GTs for a reason), and Dark Reapers are a little pricey to add in at 1000 pts, so I'd advise keeping them.

Other than organising the Hawks, Spiders and Dragons into an Aspect Host, I wouldn't change much other than dropping the Spirit Stones on the Wave Serpent as your shield will be protecting you from penetrating hits anyway

If you want a fluffy Iyanden list, you could just add in a spiritseer shadow council and wraithguard as troops using the Iyanden supplement (which is still 100% legal). Battle focus on Wraithguard = win sauce

For expansion to 1,850 points I can afford a few more units to give that "Iyanden feel". I'm thinking about sticking with CAD, removing the twin-linked weapon from the Warp Spiders (-5), upgrading to a Firepike on the Fire Dragons Exarch (+15) and adding:
