Just starting to get into the game, and I noticed a rules conundrum. If I was using Archaon as my general alongside a few Khorne heroes, and I used Archaon's command ability to use the command abilities of the Khorne heroes, do they all function? I noticed that the Exalted Deathbringer's command ability states "If this model is your general and you use this ablitly . . ." So how does this mean that even though I get to use the command ability, it does nothing since the Deathbringer isn't my general?

Only your general can use command abilities.

Archaon allows you to use the command abilities of any model in the army who has one. My question is, does this override the "If this model is you general . . ." part of those command abilities.

I would say yes, purely because although (in standard conditions) only Generals can use command abilities, the "If this model is your general.." clause isn't universal in their descriptions - which would make the rule kinda redundant.
So it's a bit sticky because the "If this model is your general and uses this ability" would suggest that aside from normally needing to be your general, they have to *actually* be your general.
Worth sticking on the FB page.
*Edit* it may be "No". Longbeards have a similar rule, but that actually specifies "even if they are not your general", so I'd take that as the override qualifier.

After all, all Archaon's ability says is "they may use their abilities".
The abilities themselves in certain cases specifically require that model to be your general.

I would vote no, he cannot use his ability because, because as opposed to most other cmd abilities, it specifically states that he must be the general to use it.

Since Archaon is the general, not the Exalted DBringer, the Exalted Dbringer's own command ability doesn't trigger.

The FAQ specifically addresses this. In short, yes, the ED can use his Command ability as can anyone in your army "as if they were your general"
