Can someone pls tell me what formation (if any) would work best for this army

Tactical - 1 Sargent 9 troops
Sternguard - 1 Sargent 9 troops
Vanguard - 1 Sargent 4 troops
Bikers 1 Sargent 3 troopers
Scouts 1 Sargent 4 troopers
Land Speeder storm
Hero Chapalain,
Chapter Master
Deathwatch Overkill
I'm planning to buy 10 devastators and a iron clad drednought

A Combined Arms Detachment -- you have 2 troop (tactical, scout) a couple fast, a couple elites.. a few HQ. All of the formations have large requirements of say tactical marines (which, in turn, sell more tactical marines for GW!).. so, you won't see a lot of use for them. For a bare bones Gladius Strike Force, you'd need to pick up 2 more squads of Tacticals and another unit of Stern/Vanguard or Termies to fill up a 1st. Company Task Force. If you're playing purely for fun, the Deathwatch formation is... okay(?) i guess. I mean.. it's just a really really terrible formation.. mixes guys with different movement profiles in the same unit, cancelling out their benefits... BUT, new deathwatch codex comes out next week.. so maybe something in there for you.

Yeah, a CAD is really the best thing if you have a few units from all over the force org chart.

You could use the Deathwatch models as "counts as Sternguard" and you then have 3 of the required pieces for the First Company Task Force, but that doesn't really leave you much else...

CAD will be the way to go.
