Hello everyone, I've come here looking for more help so I can stay true to the nature of all things Warhammer 40K. Recently, in my quest to become another wanna-be fan writer with too many pipe-dreams, I've found myself at a bump in terms of writing. As I write with Sororitas, it feels too forced; the same goes for Chaos. Honestly, I don't know where the zealotry begins and ends with them. Are they perpetually on guard for any heretical or xeno threats or is that a grossly overemphasized stereo type? Can they be reasoned with? Are all Abhumans daemons in their eyes? Is it only the Order Militant who are so bold in their claims or does this carry on into the Non-Militant branches? From what I understand about Death Cults, they're essentially Imperial Creed enthusiasts who practice a myriad of assassination/war practices that aren't usually used by Imperial's. That said, it isn't uncommon for the Ministorum (I think that's it) to turn a blind eye to their methods. As I read more, it says they often indulge in blood rituals akin to Khorne worshippers and that they walk a thin line between. What I'm asking is would it be too far a stretch for a Death Cult to eventual turn away the Imperial Creed and take up Khorne worship? An added note, how does Khorne daemons usually corrupt and influence others to stray away? How does could the corruption spread beyond the confines of the Death Cult, if it could spread? Finally, and unfortunately, Slaanesh. I'm trying to stray away from the more lewd aspects to explore other means of excess through pride, gluttony, perfection, akin to the Emperor's Children and Fulgrim. The idea is several companies of Guardsmen who pride themselves on their discipline and expertise begin to fall. Strong muscular men, brilliant marksmen, the whole shabang-a-bang... The thing is, I'm not sure how to properly go about their corruption either. I was thinking this pride would extend into their own aesthetics where field surgeons attached to them began performing plastic surgery on them... And they wholeheartedly indulge the surgeons requests. How would a Slaaneshy daemon begin manipulating and growing throughout the ranks until the entirety of it fell? The goal I have in mind is two opposing Chaos forces find themselves prime candidates on a civilized world. Slaanesh and Khorne worshipers soon find themselves in a war for the planets souls. The Abhuman battalion is killed by the Slaanesh-y guardsmen to either practice their skill, kill them because they're inferior, and so on and so forth. What Sororitas Militant are there are hunted and killed by Death Cult members after falling to Khorne since they're the more elite. Eventually both opposing forces must meet and what Abhuman remain must guide a Confessor and a crew of pilots to safety so they can leave the planet and warn the others. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks for humoring me in my little plight.
