Hey guys! I've recently started to get into 30k stuff, and I'm still trying to figure out which Legion works best for me. Been experimenting with a couple of different legions (Imperial Fists and Alpha Legion) and now I'm going to give the Iron Warriors a go. I'll be having a game this Saturday and I'm looking for advice about the list I'm bringing, because I feel that I could improve upon what I've got, but I"m not sure where to go with it. List I've currently got so far looks like this:

Three 10x Legion Tactical Squad w/ Rhino DT

Two Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnoughts (Kheres Pattern Assault Cannons)
Legion Quad Launcher Support Battery (3x Phosphex Launchers)

Legion Artillery Tank Squadron (2x Medusa w/ Phosphex Shells)
Leviathan Siege Dreadnought (Grav-flux Bombard, Cyclonic Melta Lance, Armoured Ceramite) w/ Dreadnought Drop Pod
10x Tyrant Siege Terminators (3x Chainfist)

List is 70 points shy, but not sure what to do with it. Tyrant Siege Terminators Deep Strike in on Perturabo and go to town with CMLs, and the Siege Dreadnought serves as a marker for my Ironfire Barrages. Contemptors are AA, Tacticals are my scoring units. My opponent is bringing a 40k list, likely Skitarii and Crimson Fists. Welcome any and all C&C.

Firstly, congratulations on choosing the bestest of all the Legions! Your list is headed in the right direction but needs some refinement-
-Tactical Squads, have you put nuncio-vox's on them to let them act as spotters for your barrage weapons? Also worth considering cheap pintle heavy weapons for their Rhinos if you have points spare.
-Quad Launchers, batteries of 3 is overkill. 2 and 2 is godlike, even just splitting the 3 you already have in the list into 2 and 1 maximises Ironfire Return with more markers.
-Medusas are good, phosphex shells is bad. You can take S10 AP2 Barrage firing with Ironfire accuracy from my cold dead hands, loosing the ability to be good at killing all ground based targets for a mild accuracy boost is nuts(Phospex shells replace the regular ammuniton of a Medusa).
-Leviathan Siege Dreads are close combat beatsticks. As an Ironfire player you want to dump it into the heart of the enemies line, paying a good wack of points for some really good guns would be worthwhile if you weren't definitely going to be in charge distance very quickly .Also the Phosphex discharger it could take is a barrage weapon so well worth puttiing in to add yet another Ironfire counter.

I didn't realize that 30k lists got an extra Elite slot! Thanks for the recommendation of the extra battery - gives me a little more wiggle room to play with

You're probably right about the Medusas as well. If nothing else, the S10 shells will let me use it against both armor and infantry.

What's the best loadout for the Leviathan? Claw/Drill? The Phosphex Discharger does look like a nice option for extra shenanigans.

Age of Darkness FOC lets you have 3HQ and 4 Elites which is just all part of the fun of 30K

Claw and Drill for the Leviathan is the way to go. That way whatever you charge is going to be suffering, and failing all else you still have 2 meltaguns for shooting things.
