I am very proud of what the COF writers have accomplished and I think it is a beautiful thing in a society of constant likes and dislikes that a group of inspired writers have gather together to encourage one another to write. I am very proud that you guys have accepted me with open arms and I appreciate it greatly! I am a typical writer I start but never finish and the reason why is lack of confidence! This group feels different and I truly believe that if we continue to motivate each other we all will continue to grow as writers which I believe is the point! Thanks again to my COF Brothers!

I couldn't just make a thread to thank you guys so I also wanted to include some tips that I have learn throughout the years when writing about the 40k universe.

Tip 1: It may be the 40k universe but its your creation!

Do not worry so much about making it fit in the 40k universe that you suffocate your creation and it becomes bland! Work harder to make your idea acceptable in the 40k universe. They haven't seen what you have seen they don't know what motivates you your idea is your idea! Imagine that you are a small country in the Olympics and no one expects you to medal but you end up winning a bronze medal! You did not win the gold but to your country and the kids in your native land you are a hero!

Tip 2: The reader is smart!

The people who are reading are smart they already have a good grasp of the 40k universe use it to your advantage. If you don't want to go into great detail about describing something than just write a unit of Fire Dragons open fire and tore the vehicle to pieces. They know what Fire Dragons are their imagination kicks in and does the work for you! Now I do not recommend wasting an opportunity to describe a cool scene like that but if you are doing a big battle scene you don't have time to describe every single explosion, am I right?

Tip 3: Use your resources!

Resources are everywhere I am resource you are a resource we have google use them!

I hope this thread is useful to anyone that tries to write thanks to my COF Brothers once more!

If I wasn't getting beaten like a red headed step child by Fire Dragon's last night in Soul Storm I would have completely forgot what they were... Neat little tidbits, that's for sure.

Edit: *Pew pew pew* Oh no, my precious sisters are getting mauled by the Tau. DAMN SPACE ELVES AND BLUE BERRIES! Last night was a sad night.
