Do you think daemons will get an 8th edition codex? Its kind of an odd situation as the wulfen book is between both a suppliment and an actual codex, adding spells, formations and even new units. Im happy with daemons currently and don't think they really need a new codex. The 6th ed codex is pretty balanced and probably the best codex in relation to standing the test of time and fighting against the power creep. Thoughts?

We need an 8th Edition core rules first?

I think everything should get an 8th edition codex. Some would only need small tweaks, some need some significant nerfs/buff, but I think everything should be updated together, with as much balance as GW can squeeze in.

Well Atia and/or Panda have hinted that the transition to 8th is going to be a fairly radical overhaul. "Not as big a change as AOS" still leaves a lot on the table.
2nd-3rd 40K and WHFB-AOS rendered everything before them incompatible, so it isn't without precedent that existing codexes could cease to be relevant entirely.
A Warmahordes style update system (where everyone gets a small update a few times a year, and rules purchase is optional) would be a good thing to see.
