I am wanting to use a clear resin of some sort to make strands of saliva in the mouth of my dragon. I have looked at hot glue but was wondering if snyone knew any other better looking substances. Also, if hot gle is what you use how do you go about applying it?

Trust no one! The minute God crapped out the third caveman, a conspiracy was hatched against one of them.

I have definitely seen salivating jaws recently, i just can't remember where or how they did it, but it wasn't hot glue.  i'm sure it depends on how much saliva you want...

I can tell you that http://www.hirstarts.com/index.html uses clear water effect resin and he uses clear fishing line to guide it, for example to make water falling from a fountain into a pool.

I used gel epoxy on my carnifex, and it looks pretty good. Just keep stiring it around until it starts to thicken, then gently start to put it where you want the saliva to go, drawing it out into strands and such. does take a bit of work, definatly use a practice model till you get it down.

Never tried it with hot glue though.

Use the tiniest amount of ink in with the clear apoxy and you can give it a tint.  Green or yellow work great.  Just don't overdo it.
