I am going to play for the first time in about a year next weekend and would like some feedback on my army list. I am going for a relatively quick force backed up by a big mob of orks led by a warboss

Ork Contingent

HQ - Big Boss KneeKrusha - 'eavy armour, powerclaw, bosspole. He is warlord of the force. 94 points.

Troops - Mob of 30 boyz led by a nob with powerclaw, bosspole. Joined by KneeKrusha 215 points.

Troops - 12 boyz in a trukk with a nob with powerclaw and bosspole. Trukk has rokkit launcher and reinforced ram. 147 points.

Troops - 12 boyz in a trukk with a nob with powerclaw and bosspole. Trukk has rokkit launcher and reinforced ram. 147 points.

Elite - Tankbustas - 5 of them each with a rokkit launcher. Trukk with reinforced ram. These guy's are 100 points but I expect an awful lot of shooting will go on first or 2nd turn to kill them. Targets essentially

Chaos Marines

HQ - Cypher - actually cypher models but a level 3 sorcerer with a plasma pistol - 125 points.

Troops - 5 chaos marines in a rhino. Rhino has a dozerblade and havoc launcher. 127 points.

Troops - 9 chaos marines with a plasma gun. 142 points.

Fast Attack - Heldrake with baleflamer. I have never used this model but I love my robot dragon. 170 points.

Heavy - Land Raider - will likely take the squad of nine for a ride. 230 points.

What do you guy's think? I just want to have a fun game but I do not want to be wiped from the board first turn, I have another 90 some odd orks included 5 more nobs. I also have a defiler, a couple of obliterators, havocs, a squad of bikes, some spawn, a pile of more marines, a helbrute and almost every HQ in the chaos codex.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

If you are playing with lots of buildings I would say use cypher solo so you can tap into his extra shooting and movement that he gets.

To many unpainted models to count.

Love the concept! C'mon use the real Cypher!

I love Cypher - I purposely hunted down the pewter model as I love the feel and heft of painted pewter. His story is the reason I built a fallen Dark Angel battleforce. But he is 190 points. At 1850 he sees play everytime but at anything lower he is a huge point sink.

It's like playing 4th edition fantasy where 50 of your army is characters.

That being said - I could drop 1 nob from a trukk squad and have the points. Is this a good idea? I have like three days to think it over.

If you are taking a chaos sorcerer without spell familiar, you are skipping out on one of the best psyker items in the game
