Hi,

Some interesting synergies in very small army.

1 x Harbringer of Decay (General, Chaos, Mortal, Daemon, Nurgle, Hero, Harbringer of decay) + artefact (+1A) 140 pt
1 x Archaon, the Everchosen (Chaos, Daemon, Mortal, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, Hero, Wizard, Archaon) 320 pt
5 x Putrid Blightkings (Battleline, Chaos, Mortal, Nurgle, Putrid Blightkings) 180 pt
5 x Putrid Blightkings (Battleline, Chaos, Mortal, Nurgle, Putrid Blightkings) 180 pt
5 x Putrid Blightkings (Battleline, Chaos, Mortal, Nurgle, Putrid Blightkings) 180 pt

Archaon has the Nurgle keyword so he can use the Harbringer of Decay command ability (ignore wound or mortal wound on a roll of 5 or 6), he`s a wizard so i have acces to mshield. Archaon is also a CC monster with 4 2+/3+/-1/3dmg attacks
3 units of Putrid Blightkings heal themselves and heroes in 3", i can use them as battleline units because of Mortal Nurgle alliegnance.

Quite slow but very durable army (each model has 3 or more wound, 3+ or 4+ sv and 5+ "ward" save).

I played with this army against Seraphons and Khorne Blooldbound and literally smashed my opponents.

I'd worry about this list in objective missions where either hero or minimum of five models have to hold the objective

True but sometimes i play "last man standing" games, just for pure carnage

Even in last man standing you only have 17 models

Still very tough models

Last weekend i played a small tournament [1500]. I added Hellcanon 2x10 marauders with k. of nurgle and Wulfrik the Wanderer to this army.
We played three scenarios from GH (Take and Hold, Border Wars and Gifts from heaven).
I won all three games (major victories).

My enemies: Skaven (two warplighting cannons, verminlord, stormfiends), Serpahons (carnosaur, 3 x 10 temple guards with battalion - i can`t remember but they had 2+ sv, ignore rend and they inflicted D3 damage instead of 1 - killy , razordon and some chameleon-skins, and High Aelfs (two bolthtrowers, 20 phoenix guard, prince of griffon and 2x ellyrian reavers).

I had small issues with number of my models on table only in Border War scenario (4 objectives).
Putrids are insane - they inflicted lots and lots of damage and are tough as hell (3 wounds each, sv 4+ and ignore wound/mortal wound on 5+ (ability from harbringer) + they heal themselves on sixes (D3 wounds).

I've been toying with this, and as someone pointed out, taking objectives is a bear.

I solved this with nurgle marked chaos marauders. They are cheap as heck, have a high model count, and have the Nurgle/Mortal profile required for your army.

Maybe drop Archon in 1000 point games for the marauders and another Harbinger of Decay so you can split up your Blights a bit on the table? (Keep Archon in bigger games for sure.)
