How do I fill out this list with the remaining 350 points? I was thinking maybe going with Fist of Medusa and get some predators and Whirlwinds on a skyshield landing pad (the vindicators would still be pseudo-fast) Or blood angels, and shuffle around the detatchment a little?

I assume you want this list to center around the Skyhammer force, correct? What models do you have to choose from, any TFCs?

I have a very extencive list of models. 1 Thunderfire cannon, loads of dreadnoughts, bikers, scout bikers, scouts, terminators, honor guard etc. All types of vehicle etc.

Not so many fliers. Only 1 stormtalon.


I was thinking perhaps a dreadnought in a drop pod could mesh well with the skyhammer annihalation force, as the vindicators and chapter master close in on the enemy. But will it be a bit lights for a first strike/second strike in this gladius style era with 10 free razorbacks?

Well if you want to run Fist of Medusa take a look at your options for core choices based on your models. I suppose the big questions are where you want the emphasis of your force to be. If you really kit out the Skyhammer it clocks in around 1000 pts. Leaving you 750 to build around your core choice. Do you have the models to effectively run a Demi-Company? If you go armored task force with the Vindicators, TFC, and Dreadnaughts those are all deadly units, but it might help us to know if you plan taking this list to a big Tourny or just running it for fun.

Taking it to a big tournament with 40 player. 5 matches. In my experience about 3/5 of the lists are very competative.

Havent played in a while, so I'm not really wanting to impress anyone, but I would like to not be a pushover either.

I have enough razorbacks to run a demi company, but I think it looks a bit boring. Also I want that top dog Chapter master so I can try to get slay the warlord, while not giving it away.

If you find the Battle-Company boring the Stormlance is a fun alternative, read its rules, and decide if that's what you want. I don't have my AoD book next to me, what bonuses does the Medusa Strikeforce grant again?

The Medusa Strikeforce grants: a 12" bubble around any independent character that grants +1 to Feel No Pain rolls, with all vehicles in the bubble gaining Power of the Machine Spirit, and a bonus Warlord Trait.

So the vindicators are fast, if they are within the chaptermasters bubble, letting them move 12 and then fire.

I actually toyed with the idea of taking a skyhield landing pad, and putting 2 lascannon predators on it, a techmarine and 3 whirlwinds. All AV 13, 4++ invul (not cover) and 1+ repair rolls from the techmarine.
