Hi all,

Looking for some advice/opinions about the Deathlords faction...

Because Death has been split into several different factions, my collection of models has left me with a few half armies, I.e., I have some death rattle, some ghoul, etc. I do however, have a 1000 point Deathlords army consisting of Neferata or Mannfred and 4 Morghast Archai.

As this is the only playable themed army that I currently have (I am conspicuously lacking HQ's), what I want to know is, what is this army like? Any good? OP? Will I be *that guy* if I turn up to play with them?

Any comments are appreciated! Thanks!

All Death units can be used as a Death Grand Alliance. So your collection is fine.

Don't feel you have to stick to just deathlords, you can still use your entire collection and benefit from the allegiance death abilities.

It's an option. You won't be that guy as you will struggle pending on the scenario you play just running death lords.

1k pts is tough to bring a 400+pt model to. But it sounds like you have a great death army! If you want to learn to play, just take you basic troops and maybe support them with the Morghast. Then bring in your big Vamp to bump up your points.

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

Yeah, there is no point in being limited to one faction. I think the whole purpose for the grand alliances is to open up the field for making more diverse and unique armies, not the opposite.
