Here is a question, i admit i did look 1st but my search-fu is weak

Lets say for argument sake a warscroll battalion says you need:

1 x A
2 x B
3 x C

Now those units will benefit from the battalion ability, i do get that, but what if i say for example add another unit of B, so now we look like this:

1 x A
3 x B
3 x C

Does that extra unit of B benefit from the battalion rule? or is it counted as outside the battalion?

Unless specifically stated in the rules of the battalion (look for phrases like "all X in your army"), the rules will only benefit units/models in the battalion.
