Hi, I'm torn between a librarian or a techmarine to lead a ravenwing strike force! They'll be outflanking to grav riptides and wraithknights to death, and put melta in the back of some leman russes. Techmarines have a 2+ save, bolster defences + servo arm. Librarian would give one more warp charge (and I'll be running a librarian conclave elsewhere in the list). Any thoughts?

I included chaplains and sammy in the poll for completeness' sake. I'm leaning towards a techmarine.

I personally like running an interrogator chaplain with a mace of redemption. It's nice having the invulnerable save plus he turns a command Squad into an even bigger threat for melee.

Lvl 2 Libby on bike with a Shroud of Heros (fnp, Shrouded when not in a unit) and rolling on the new Space Marine psychic powers can be a powerful choice.

Librarian is best HQ for nearly all situations. Psychic Shriek solves a lot of problems that Ravenwing can't.

And yes your Warlord should usually have Shroud of Heroes.
