Yaho,

Finally went and bought a knight thanks to the Renegade box set going out of print, then bought a few more because they're the most fun i've ever had building something in the hobby, ever.

So i'm IG and looking to incorporate them into my standard 2k army, looking at CAD IG with a Shadowsword and three knights in the front, or 3x vendetta 3x vulture. Since I've been playing IG so long i've forgotten what it feels like to look forward to the assault phase, my natural inclination is to go for 3 gallants with nothing in the Gallant Lance formation to max out the close combat value. However i've fallen for similar traps before.

So has anyone used the gallant lance enough to comment on its usefulness? Are there better ways of rocking multiple knights?

Gallants are the cheapest for a reason, they're the worst. Considering you're playing IG you're probably not on a shortage of large ap 3 templates, so I would recommend 1 hand reaper, the other gatling or melta cannon. 1 extra attack traded for a huge gun isn't worth it, you'll still be able to take on most things with D and stomp.
