Looking to develop some focused Seraphon Matched Play lists.

1000, 1500, and 2000 pt lists.

I'll post some samples but I'd love to hear suggestions and C&C from those with more experience than me.

The focus of the lists is to take advantage of the powerful but defensive Eternal Starhost and the very strong shooting monster, Bastiliadon.

1000
http://bit.ly/2bcPXWX
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Salamander x 1 (60) (FILLER POINTS) (Or maybe x2 if they're 40 ea w/out handlers) (Skinks x 10 (80)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 1000
920 without unncessary Skinks, but not much else for that slot.

1500
http://bit.ly/2bqLTB5
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)

Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 1460/2000
So that's the core of the army.
I think the Cham Skinks play a vital role as mobile assassins and objective takers.
They're not actually lethal as a group of 5, so I think 2x 5 is enough to put wounds on specific characters/opposing synergy models.
Or just wear down hordes/damage table behemoths while they sit at 16" range hopefully in cover.

2000 Version 1 -3 Bastiladon
http://bit.ly/2bqOvz9
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Skink Starseer (160)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Salamanders x 1 (60)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 1980/2000
With the extra 500 points, we pickup a 3rd Bastiladon, a Starseer as our mystic shield spammer, + the 'Cosmic Herald' ability lets us get some key dice rolls such as:
Initiative (who goes first)
The D6 attack rolls for Bastiladons
Failed Spellcasting roles for Mystic Shield

And spare 80 points fall on the Skinks for random damage/2x Salamanders

2000 Version 2 -3 Bastiladon
http://bit.ly/2bqPwqM
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Skink Starpriest (100)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Ripperdactyl Riders x 3 (140)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 2000/2000
Here we trade a Starseer for a Starpriest. Mystic Shield still available but Starlight is an alternative.
We use the extra points to by Ripperdactyl's instead of the 10 normal Skinks/2x Salamander.
Ripper's represent board control via Blot Toad, and their high mobility lets them join Cham Skinks in traveling to objectives.
If opponents get brave and travel into Blot Toad land, the Ripper's will almost certainly earn their points back in eliminating heroes/wizards/cavalary/artillery/hordes.
Might even take up a lot of time and wounds from a behemoth

2000 Version 3 -3 Bastiladon
http://bit.ly/2bqPwqM
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Skink Starpriest (100)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)

Ripperdactyl Riders x 3 (140)

2000 Version 4 -2 Bastiladon
http://bit.ly/2bcO3ph
Spoiler:

Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Skink Starpriest (100)
Skink Starseer (160)

Units
Saurus Guard x 10 (200)
Saurus Guard x 10 (200)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Salamanders x 1 (60) (or 2 If they're really only 40pts ea)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 1980/2000

This seems a little more fun to me. Only going up to 2x Bastiladons doesn't feel as cheesy.
25 Guards opposed to 15 means they're harder to chew through even with mortal wounds.
The trio of Skink Priests/Starpriest/Starcaller gives you plenty of defensive options and occasionally an arcane bolt.

2000 Version 5 -2 Bastiliadon + Kroak
http://bit.ly/2bcOvnn
Spoiler:

Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Lord Kroak (540)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)

Total: 2000/2000
Now we have Kroak. Back down to 15 guard, 10 chamo skinks, and only the 1 Skink Priest.
However Kroak gives us Comets every turn, Mystic Shield every turn, Arcane Bolt, and probably his Celestial Nova spell.
Priest/5 of the Cham Skinks are flex spots, and can allow for more Guard or something else.

2000 Version 6 - Thunderquake + Eternal Starhost w/o Slaan
http://bit.ly/2bcQbNQ
And Finally, I really wanted to figure out a way to use the Thunderquake Starhost WITH Eternal Starhost. Unlikely to fit in the Slaan for extra control over the Engine though.
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Skink Priest (100)
Engine of the Gods (240)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Kroxigor x 3 (180)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)
Thunderquake Starhost (120)

Total: 2000/2000

2000 Version 7 - Thunderquake + Eternal w/Slaan
http://bit.ly/2bcQEzs
Spoiler:

Leaders
Saurus Eternity Warden (140)
Engine of the Gods (240)
Slann Starmaster (260)

Units
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Saurus Guard x 5 (100)
Chameleon Skinks x 5 (120)
Skink Handlers x 6 (80)
Salamanders x 1 (60)

Behemoths
Bastiladon (300)
Bastiladon (300)

War Machines

Batallions
Eternal Starhost (80)
Thunderquake Starhost (120)

Total: 2000/2000
Well, this version drops Kroxigor, some Chamo Skinks, and Skink Priest to fit a Slaan in.

There's no reason NOT to take Chameleon Skinks in groups of 5. There aren't "slot" limits, and having more units means, if needed they can secure two totally different objectives, and also get their cover save buff much more easily.

I like your 1000pt list a lot, but can suggest the those Skink filler points become Salamanders instead. Without handlers they're 40pts a pop, and can be a surprising distraction. People either throw more fire at them then they should because they're worried about the prospect of their burning damage, or they ignore them and get surprised by it. Don't expect a ton out of them, but they'll do a hell of a lot more work than vanilla Skinks will. :-p

At 2000pts, I would say that you're investing so deeply into Saurus that you might actually want to bolster a couple of those units to 10-man. My wife sometimes runs two units of 10, and one of 5, plus the formation bonus, to create total ownership of the middle table. Nothing will shift them so you can expect, and worst, to draw on objectives that you can't outright take. :-p

Also, while not as strong as he once was, Lord Kroak behind a wall of Saurus Guard can be hilarious.

OP was updated to fix list issues.

Also relisted the Cham Skinks as groups of 5 not 10. Although multiple groups of 5 was my original intent.

Added lists with ~25 Saurus Guard.

Added Lists with Engine of the Gods.

I would love to play Eternal + Thunderquake, with Kroxigor & Kroak, but that sounds like it would be more of a 2500 style list.

Well what does everyone think?

Honestly, even though it is a very, very, fun unit that can do cool things once in a blue moon, the Engine of the Gods is generally a poor use of points. Its contribution is so unpredictable, and even when it is working well, it isn't offering anything the Bastiladons aren't already doing better.
