Bounding Ultramarine Assault Trooper
|
Hello out there. My group has been having a blast playing the Star-struck City rules, but we have also been experimenting with 500 to 550 point games. We find this point level to be really enjoyable, as you really have to think about what you are going to put into your army. And, at this smaller scale, losing a unit can be really devastating, which just intensifies the tension and drama.
My question is: who has tried games at this level?

I can still remember when a box of 30 Space Marines was $30.00. Now THAT'S old school! In fact, I started playing in the Rogue Trader days...yes, I am that old. Played Warhammer Fantasy for years before Rogue Trader even came out...

I have, they can work pretty well, but it does really limit some armies. (Ogres). Nevertheless, it's my prefered point level when I'm playing a game with my dad, who enjoys KoW but really doesn't have the time or space for larger games.
