Hey guys, I played a good while back, around the end of 5th edition, and I've been looking to get back in the game. I'm have a bunch of old blood angels so I guess I was just wondering how they play now/how the meta has changed. Thanks for your help

The link below should give you all the info you need!!!

What models do you specifically have? Because you are 100% better off playing them as red vanilla marines of a chapter of your choosing.

Couldn't agree with this statement more sadly. However there are rumors abound that a supplement will be coming out that should be giving the Blood Angels some much needed formations.

Based off what the CSM got, it's not going to help at all.

I have about 50 terminators from an old Deathwing army, 3 tactical squads with rhinos, 2 predators, a dreadnought, a squad of devastators, and then a couple of HQs

More importantly: how do you play ? Competitively, casualy ?

There is a huge gap now between tournament players and casual players, there are a lot of deathstars, psy shenanigans, powerful units, and the power creep may be HUGE between two armies.
You have to know you local meta.

For example, I'm a casual player, and all my friends too, luckily.
But if tomorrow I decide to play competitively, with hit and run bikes, invisible centurions and/or free transports Gladius, I'm pretty certain to win every game against everyone of them.

Keep in mind thats you can easily add ALLIES to your army (so, if you always wanted this little ImpGuard force, now you can !).

Blood Angels are said to be a weak army, as they received little to no V7 things (no decurion, little formations/detachement useful, no tanks squadrons...).
And terminators are among the worst things a Space Marine player can field.

However, as I said, you may be in a local meta where people play dreadnoughts, terminators and genestealers.

I think I'll play mostly casually, but I would like to win every once in a while

Honestly, the only stuff from that list i would use in my meta are 5 man tacs in rhinos. Terminators in particular are poor.
