curious as to any spells or character abilities that give you ways to bonus or manipulate the battle round roll?

Fateweaver comes to mind for a guaranteed double round once a game.

The coven throne also affects it, but the most powerful one is the Everchosen battalion that lets you know the outcome the turn before.

Engine of the Gods can get you 4 turns in a row. Rare, but it could happen.

archaon on the formation is cool though.. at least if you know of what's going to happen you can plan accordingly
