Hey there,

Can't find any updated info on this, hence this post ,

Can you keep a SWS in reserve with your val/vendetta? And still field the rest of the squad?

I believe so. The Infantry Platoon is just a way to organize taking such units, but each is an individual unit just like any other unit in any other army. As such, a Special Weapons Squad should be able to start the game embarked upon a Valkyrie/Vendetta just like any other infantry squad.

The only ones that come in all together are Infantry Squads if they are mobbed up

been doing some searches on this,

i keep finding this from the Faq, which i can't find

Each Infantry Platoon is deployed in place of a single unit in missions that limit the number units that can be deployed. In addition when making a reserve or outflanking roll, roll once for the whole Infantry Platoon. Any units in reserve that are embarked upon a non-dedicated transport are instead rolled for separately.

is there a rule somewhere that can confirm this ?

Sounds like a rule / faq from a few editions ago - missions that only allowed a certain number of unit to begin the game deployed was something from 4th/5th.

Currently, each unit in an Infantry Platoon is treated as a separate unit (i.e. they deploy separately, roll for reserves separately, etc.) with the exception (as mentioned by Yarium) of Infantry Squads using the Combined Squad special rule.

Please note dahnarius, future posts like these should be done in You Make Da Call (YMDC), which is the rules queries forum.
