Subject: Asking for peoples experience using the Blood Slaughterer.
I would like to get feedback on the Blood Slaughterer by people who actually fielded one and not some guy who speculates based on stats and never played it.
How effective are they in combat
How good is the impaler
How good are they getting up into combat

horrific.... they are nasty units, take 3, and eat anything in CC, if memory serves, 3 attacks, +2 to charge + d3 for rampage +1 for CCW str10 ap2, proxy them and try it out.

They are great...providing you can make combat. The issue I had in the games I played with them are that they must move towards the nearest enemy model. My opponent who played eldar simply used their flyers to draw them around essentially having them run around like their heads were cut off moving towards something they couldn't even kill. In other words they are easily distracted by certain army lists. it is hard to pick what you want them to attack as a smart opponent can bait them easily.
