Has anyone used the MECHANICUM ORDINATUS ? It seems like they can be used in 40k army.
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-CA/Mechanicum-Ordinatus-Ulator
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-CA/Mechanicum-Ordinatus-Sagittar

Both are basically indestructible, at least during the first 2-3 turns (except against Haywire weapons).
The first one is 1075pts, which makes is difficult to fit in any viable list, and although its weapon is the deadliest you can imagine, units with invulnerable saves will manage to survive.
The other is 700pts for a Destroyer 10'' blast. It's good, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Units with cover and invulnerable saves will survive well.

What do you think?

It can be taken in 40k under these rules which are found on the forge world sales page for them.
It can also be taken as a Lords of War Choice by Adeptus Mechanicus: Cult Mechanicus and Skitarii armies in games of Warhammer 40,000 using the rules found in The Horus Heresy: Mechanicum – Taghmata Army List.
Neither faction has a Non-Forgeworld Lord of War so the only way to take one is in a CAD or Unbound.
Skitarii don't have a HQ either so the only way to take one Bound is in a Cult Mechanicus CAD.
The cheapest option is a Techpriest Dominus (105pt) and two units of three KATAPHRON BREACHERS (150pts x2) which costs 405pts.
This makes the minimum cost to take the Ulator 1480pts.

Since melee forces good at killing vehicles like Thunderwolf Cavalry with Thunder Hammers can walk through the shield I don't think Kataphrons being your cheapest blocking force is really a good idea in a serious game.
If the next Imperial Armour gives Skitarii a HQ choice or a Detachment or Formation with a LoW slot I think it could be viable with Vanguard and Rangers protecting instead of Kataphrons.

I think it very likely. The Scutarii units are listed as having the "adeptus titanicus" faction - which implies that whatever book they're a preview from has adeptus titanicus units as a thing for 40k - which probably means a detachment based around lords of war with a few supporting 'skirmish' choices.

And what about the Sagittar? It's like a super-baneblade. At 700pts + 435pts for the basic troops and HQ, you have 715pts left in a 1850pts list.
What should I do with that 715pts?

Against a wolfstar, there's not much AdMech can do...
Against some deathstars, the culexus would be a good choice maybe.
The Librairius Conclave may be good too, though maybe too defensive.
Obviously I need objective grabbers too. The Skyhammer formation maybe? Or the Shadowstrike one? Both allow deep strike charge.

Against a wolfstar, I guess there would be the deadly combo of the Divination rending malediction + 20 securatii peltasts (80 s3 shred at 24'') ==> 20 ap2 wounds against a T5 unit ==> 7 unsaved wounds if the unit has 3++ shields. Not mind-blowing, but not very expensive. It's more effective, I think, than 5 plasma Kataphrons.

Any thoughts?

Take whatever you want with the 715pts.
A Skitarii Maniple is probably best because of the low cost per model of Vanguard since you need to block charges against the ordinatus.
Anything not too expensive and good at scoring objectives could be worth taking as well.
Infiltrating Space Marine Scouts could probably be fairly annoying but might make it hard to use the Volcano Cannon.
A Shadowstrike Kill Team or CAD (for Objective Secured) could be a good way to take scouts if you went that way.

I don't think it is a actually a good idea to take one right now for the same reasons as the Ulator.
The cost of the only way you can take it is too high to bring enough other models to do well in a competitive game with objectives.
The same things people bring to kill Knights and other super heavy vehicles can kill it, though the shooting based methods are not as reliable because of the Dispersion Field.
It is probably fine in a kill points only games or a casual game just for fun.

The Ulator is, i'd argue, better than the warlord. It has an order of magnitude higher damage output potentially, especially if you can swing outflank on it somehow.

I've faced one once in 3k, it flattened me completely on its own. Almost dreading a 12k rematch later this week :|

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

What could give it Outflank?
