Hey guys, I'm about to pick up an Imperial knight to round out my army. I was just wondering which pattern is the most fun to build/play. I'm open to the GW or FW ones, but I don't play 30k, so any of those would have to be converted or counts as

The FW Knights usually have rules for 40k available for download next to them on the FW site. The only ones that don't are the Knight Atropos and the one of the Magera I believe. I could be mistaken though.

All of the FW knights apart from the Questoris Styrix (the one with the huge Volkite blaster) have a 40k ruleset

My personal favourite for usage is the Archeon. That template is a hard counter to the Scatpack meta, and the Machine Destroyer chainfist is simply a good laugh if you ever make it to anything armoured.

Only problem with any of the Cerastus chassis knights is that you need to take another knight of any type to legalise the list. To this end a cheapo Paladin or Warden is good, but if you have deep pockets an Atrapos or Castigator complements an Archeon very nicely

The Knight kits are probably the most fun I've had just assembling a mini. Rules-wise, I don't really do Forgeworld, but for the Games Workshop versions, the Warden probably has the best overall rules, though Renegade will probably perform better if you can find bits for a second Avenger Gatling Cannon. The AGC has really good damage output, and there really isn't anything it can't deal with.

I'm between the Crusader and the Atrapos. I like being able to take the carapace missile launchers with the Crusader, but I want one of the forge world models and the gravity cannon is great

The Renegade set is the best IMO. Personally, I have 2 magnetized knights and an Acheron.

Personally, I like the one with the RFBC, but the warden is growing on me.

I was thinking that it is the size of a warhound scout titan.

My favorite knight to play is a tossup between the Lancer and Castigator. The forge world Cerastus Knights are more expensive $$ but are much, much more posable than the base GW model. If you can deal with resin, they are about the same to build. The Acheron is a good choice as well.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

To be honest I don't think there's a single one I just don't like the look of outside the one with the Hellstorm gun, and even then that still looks cool.

Yeah I feel this, I'm not a huge fan of the Melta Cannon arm, but apart from that they're all great
