Greetings all.

Anyone got any solid advice on a competitive KDK army? I like the look of the Blood Host, and I reckon I can make a "decent" army, but is it one that can handle multiple Wraithknights, Death Stars and the like? Probably not. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm not much of a chaos player, but I like me some thematic lists. Go all out with a Hellforged Hunting Pack!

1850 points (1845 actual) KDK Formation

Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne (warlord with no trait)

Blood Slaughterer with Impaler
Blood Slaughterer with Impaler
Blood Slaughterer with Impaler

Heldrake with Baleflamer
Heldrake with Baleflamer

Maulerfiend with Lasher Tendrils
Maulerfiend with Magma Cutters
Maulerfiend with Magma Cutters

Excellent against hordes of weak models, a ton of armor values, the ability to get stronger and the potential to summon more daemons for backup.

That list is fine, in fact it is really nasty on the table top, but the question would be: do you want to pay almost £600 on, what I assume, is your first comp KDK army?

Generally KDK comp lists consist of a central unit of a Lord on Jug with a pack of Hounds supported by Bikes, Heldrakes and D-Thirsters. Most lists also have some throw away cultists as troops to expend for blood tithe points.
