Hey all, with the new prospero burns box coming out, I am excited to start a 30k Thousand Sons legion

About a year ago, I had planned to make a 40k Thousand Sons army, and had gone and purchased everything to make a couple of Rubric squads.

I am considering using them for 30k, but the biggest problem I see is the helmets are what appear to be artificed mk 7?

Am I correct on this? or could I perhaps play it off maybe as mark 5?

Also, their legion insignia of the dragon/snake eating its tail, does that date back to pre-heresy as well?

I am just trying to figure out a timeline of when these helmets would have been around so I can still be lore friendly with my legion.

I plan to use a calth and prospero box with forgeworld conversion kits as well, but wouldn't mind the extra bodies since I already have them.

Outer Space, Apparently

They would have come with the creation of the Rubric Marines, after the Horus Heresy. I don't believe the helms are part of any known Mark of Power Armour - they could have been made before the end of the Heresy, however I have not seen them featured on any 30K Marine; it is more likely that they are a manifestation or mutation of Chaos of sorts, to accompany the Rubric of Ahriman.

I did some digging around, the top part seemed to exist before the rubric spell was cast, but these appear to be mk3 suits.

Spoiler:

The base helmet seems like maybe mk7 for 40k tsons, but I may just try and play it off as mk5 since they share a lot of similarities and these helmets are heavily artificed.
