Annoyed Blood Angel Devastator




So I'm still playing around with Blood Angels list after the new release and trying to find a list I like the feel of. This is my newest attempt:

Baal Strike Force:

HQ:

Captain 165pts
Artificer Armour, Bolt Pistol, Storm Shield, Valours Edge, Bike

I think the idea of what I'm going for is pretty obvious, Rifleman Dread sits at the back in cover somewhere whilst the rest of the force goes balls out. Dreads drop first turn and hopefully the Terminators Drop the 2nd. Thats the real weakness is its so reliant on that turn 2 deep strike.

Looks pretty decent though I can't say I like taking so many min squads. Either way, I would recommend freeing up some points and taking Karlaen as your warlord because of his reroll for seize and reserves. That will greatly increase the chance of your deep striking units making it onto the board. Dropping the bikes and the captain will more than free the points up. Use the extra points to beef up some of those squads or take another HQ like a SP or Librarian.

My suggestions are the following:

1) remove the captain and use karlean as it allows you to reroll the dice for the reserves which is pivotal for this list.

2) I dont really see the use of that tactical with flamer in drop pod. I would use a second scout unit with locator beacon

3) I wouldn't run the chapter ancient but instead I'd use three furiosos with frag cannon and meltagun in drop pod and with locator beacon. These three elites belongs now to the baal detachment and should replace the DC which to me doesnt really fit in this list.

4) The bikes should be replaced too: I'd personally run 2 speeders as they are fast and with their flat-out movement can contest an objective.

5) I would run all three terminators assault squad with 3x TH/SS and 2x lighting Claws.

Minimal squads are the name of the game with BA. Or six men if you are running the Angel's Blade.
