I have recently decided to attempt to transition from 40k to 30k, where I would be playing Iron Warriors (as I play CSM IW for 40k) I have read the 1d4chan regarding 30k, tactics and such, however I was wondering if anyone had any additional guides they found helpful or if anyone had any help/hints for someone trying to figure out a list and play style for this game. Any painting, conversion, list, battle reports or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Honestly Legion Iron Warriors operate almost exactly like CSM iron warriors minus all the daemons and since its heresy they get about a hundred times the firepower.

And very appropriate as well as visual. To the OP, this involves loading up on Phosphex, Quad Launchers, as much Artillery as you can get and Terminators. You then march into the teeth of the enemies guns and just let the shells rain down around you. The rite reduces the likelyhood of friendly fire and you become fearless as the shells come down like rain...

I disagree with the phosphex actually. An army like this is supposed to be advancing but phosphex leaves behind dangerous terrain the rest of the game. Also, medusas str 10 ap 2 shots are just as deadly as phosphex even if they get a cover save, as well as being able to threaten tanks. Phoxphex also comes with the master of siege tax and a 20pt cost on each quad mortar.

Load up on tacticals and artillery and march forward to victory in my opinion.

Agree with the standard Medusa shells being better, but quad mortar phosphex is just such an awesome weapon against the rank and file. While dangerous terrrain can potentially hinder you, if you plan it well you can use it to hinder the enemies movement as well.
If you have Tyrant siege terminators as well the siege wrecker becomes much less off a tax, as minimum 10 tank hunter krak missiles will wreck stuff.

Also, siege wreker being with the terminators means you have much more accurate barrages (should have clear fields of fire). Nuncio vox with BS5 and crawling fire means average scatters should be negated.

Hmmm I currently do not have the models to convert my current cataphractii terminators into tyrants, however, I have enough havocs to have two 10 man squads with lascannons and autocannons and I am thinking of purchasing either several quad mortars or laser rapiers. From my 40k army, I have modified baneblade turrets on defiler legs that I use for medusa's in which I could maybe use as legion medusa's, they are close to the actual thing, and the barrel of the gun can be switched out to be a basilisk. My terminators are the following loadout; 4 with dual lightning claws, and 5 with combi meltas and power weapons and 1 with claw/chainfist, can I use these or would I have to purchase additional units for 30k?
