I was thinking to mix some deathmarks with a Necron Overlord equipped with the artifcat Veil of Darkness that allow you to use Deep Strike.

In the rulebook it say ''deep strike (also called Deep Strike Reserve)'' so it's very confusing if you are considered to automaticaly come from Deep Strike Reserve whenever you use Deep Strike.

It would make a bit of diversity to have Necrons be able to use Deathmarks ability twice in a game: Once from coming Reserve and another one by having the Overlord joing them and use his artifact

P.S. I'm sure people will say no but goddamn it the rulebook didn't help me at all there.

The FAQ has clarified this to be not be the case. Specifically, marines using Skies of Fury to disembark from Stormravens can't use locator beacons to eliminate scatter since they are not coming in from deep strike reserve, just using the deep strike mechanic to be placed. It sucks, I know.
