This is a theoryhammer "proof of concept" to see if the Hammerhead can be used in a "hard" list.

Flayed Ones are bubblewrap, everything else shoots. Tomb blades moveblock/grab maelstrom objectives, Immortals camp objectives and harass.

The Armored Interdiction Cadre gets to nominate a point on the map each turn and reroll to-hit anything within 6" of that point each turn. I basically have 3 twin-linked Battle Cannons. The Skyrays alpha-strike a trouble unit, or do AA/Markerlight support.

For ITC, Invisibility just means BS 1 instead of snapshots. This lets me Blast, Flamer, or use Tesla. For Nova or other settings where Invisibility uses BRB rules, drop the Flame Gauntlets and replace one of the Annihilation Barges with a Culexus.

Everything is BS 4. Markerlights can boost but are mostly for the Skyrays.
12 TL S7 Tesla shots.
9 S7 AP 3, or one S8 AP 3 Large Blast for every 3 shots traded in. Conditionally reroll to-hit/scatter.
25 TL S5 AP 5 Ignore Cover.
10 S5 AP 3 shots
15-30 S5 AP 4 Gauss.
6-12 TL S5 AP 4 Ignore Cover gauss.
12 one-shot S8 AP 3, which can be TL and/or Skyfire.

Oh, and two Flamers.

Necrons + Tau

I love it already. Can the Crons use your Tau's Markerlights, though?

Alas, no. Nor can the Tau use the Warlord Traits. Allies of Convenience and all. It's pretty basic really. Lots of AV 13, lots of TL S7, and supporting elements for objective play/screening vs alpha-strikes.

yikes. do either of those Tau vehicles have Interceptor?

Tau vehicles don't. The Skyhammer could be an issue. I imagine versus Dscythes, I eat a unit and trade though it could be tricky either way.

Alternately, there's shuffling around and replacing the Annihilation Barges with an Obelisk, giving Sensor Spines to the Tau vehicles to negate the Gravity Pulse, and using some points to replace some Flayed Ones with Deathmarks. You lose out on TL and some Gauss, but gain Thunderblitz as well.
