Hey everybody! New player here, looking for some advice for my first army. I don't really know much about the game, so any piece of advice you can give me is extremely helpful.

1850 point White Scars

Scarblade Strike Force detatchment:
Librarius Conclave-
3 Librarians with bikes
255 pts
Hunting Force-
Kor'Sarro Khan with Moondrakkan
8 model Bike Squad with 2 flamers
3 model Bike Squad with 2 flamers
3 model Scout Bike Squad with grenade launchers for everyone
2 model Attack Bike squad each with multi melta
5 model Command Squad with bikes and grav guns for everyone
720 pts
Stormbringer Squadron
Scout Squad with camo cloaks
Land Speeder with multi melta and heavy flamer
Land Speeder Storm, dedicated to scouts
160 pts
Total: 1135 pts
Skyhammer Annihilation Force
2x 5 model Devestator Squad with 4 grav cannons
2X 5 model Assault Squad with jump packs and one eviscerator
2x Drop Pod, dedicated to the devestators
Total: 690 pts

Grand Total: 1850/1850 pts


What can I do to make this army stronger? I feel like I have anti-armor covered, but my main concern is anti-infantry (I have friends who play tyranids and orks). Will the few flamers I have on my bikes be sufficient, or is there more I should do?

Drop the libcon for more bikes. You're not deathstarring up so they're not worth the points especially since I 'm pretty sure they're ML 1 based on the point costs which means that not only will they never get the powers you want they also can only ever cast 1. There is never a reason to run more than 5 bikes to a unit. Put grav/melta on the bikes and flamers on that assaults. Drop the eviserators for melta bombs. Any melee unit good enough to require an eviscerator isn't gonna let it swing. Work in the hunter's eye, doesn't matter how. An apothecary is mandatory for a command squad and so should be 2 stormshields.

I'd suggest the opposite, at least the Librarian Conclave offers the characters needed to take those great relics of the White Scar, like Hunter's Eye to give either your Biker Command Squad or Skyhammer Devastors Ignore cover, or Mantle of the StormSeer to gain AW and help everyone within 12 inches deny the enemy psychic shierk or mind control (the new GSC Psychic power that make you shoot yourself one; you don't want your Gravcannons to fire at your own guys right?) on a 4+. And yes, they only get one roll to get a psychic power, but some discipline has useful primaris power, like Preciense in Divination and Psychic Sherik in Telepathy, it is never bad to try go for these two disciplines.

Yeah, I am a bit reluctant to cut the conclave entirely because I already have a librarian biker.

when I ran bikes this is what I ran using this decurion:
Command
Chapter master
Shield eternal
thunderhammer
artifcer armor
bike
Conclave
Ml 2 Lib hunters eye
bike
ML 2 lib. mantle of the stormseer
bike
ML 2 lib on bike
(all have force axes)
Hunting force
Khan on moondraken
command squad
4 grav guns
4 storm shields
apthocary
bikes

3x3 man squads on bikes 2 grav and combi grav per squad

2 spear tip strike force
landspeeder (cant remeber what i gave him)
2x3 man bike squads with meltas

That command squad will tank entire units. Plus can always summon in deamons for numbers if need be.

Yeah if you get thrm ML 2 and star them up they're AMAZING but just putting 3 psykers into a list for 2 max powers with nothing important to cast those 2 powers on is a silly waste of 230 points you could be putting into grav cannons or a cataphractii terminator captain. As for denying the wwitch...no...any chaos player will have 20+dice with and ways to add more, eldar players don't really use maladictions or witchfires, and psychic marines will be using 12-15 dice suceeding on 2+. A 5+ deny with 3 extra dice will never be relevant.
