Hey guys. I've been playing playing eldar since I started playing 40k. I have gotten a little tired of people being annoyed of my stuff, and I want to try a new army. I've been looking at necrons and orks, but I'm leaning tward orks because necrons are still pretty awesome with a 4+ armor and a 5+ reanimate on nearly everything. After looking at the ork codex I came up with what I thought would be a pretty fun army. Also, this is for unbound.
Ork warband
1 warboss w/ mega armor, twin-linked shoota, powerklaw, attack squig, and lukky stick 140 points
1 mek w/ slugga, killsaw, grot oiler, stikkbombs, and mek’s tools - 50 points
10 gretchin w/ grot blasta - 35 points
6x 10 boyz w/ boss nob, w/ kombi weapon rokkit launcher. ‘eavy armor. 140 points each
5 nobz w/ 5 kombi-skorchas, 5 power klaws, ‘eavy armor, and Waagh! Banner 285 points

outside the formation
1 painboy w/ ‘urty syringe, dok’s tools 50 points
1 deff dread w/ 2 skorchas, 2 power klaws, and grot riggers. - 100

Let me know what you guys think, and any suggestions help. Thanks!

Knocking Imperial heads in the frontlines of Armageddon

285pts for a unit of 5 nobz is way too much so are the 'eavy armor upgrades for all the boyz.

Points are better spent on getting tankbustas, and warbikers.

Putting a killsaw on a mekboy isn't the best idea. Hes a 1 wound model with a 6+ save and no ways to improve that. He's honestly just a warm body to put into challenges so your Warboss and boss Nobs don't get sucked in and murdered before they get to swing their Klaws. The only upgrade i ever give mine is a rokkit.launcha because i have one im each of my boyz squads and he just gives me an extra shot.
Also: what is the grot oiler for? In case the deffdread gets immobilized while next to the mek? That's still not a great use for him, as he's going to be running up to get stuck in with the nobs (guessing here that he's just an extra power klaw to have)

I also LARGELY agree with BiggestDakka about spending too much on your nobs. Compare it to the cost of meganobs. Regular nobs with Eavy Armor, a TL shoota and a klaw cost 10 points more than a nob with the same stuff but with a 2+ save. So i vote you either upgrade to mega nobs and save a bunch of points (their combi skorchas are cheaper too), or you just prune back the cost a bit and take a couple klaws off to give your unit a couple unimportant wounds to lose. Either way, the Lukly Stikk from your warboss negates the usefulness of the waaagh banner so you can already save 25 points there.

A kombi rokkit on a boyz nob is generally worthless. Because of how bad our BS is, you're paying 5 points to hit 1 in 3 games with the rokkit where if you just paid an extra 5 you get a skorcha that ignores the cruddy BS.

An age old adage of orks is "boyz before toyz" where you make sure you have enough bodies on the board to do what needs to be done before you spend too much on the flashy bits. With the pruning of just your nobs to mega nobs (saving 15 points a dude AND another 25 for not bringing the waaagh banner) you can bring another squad of boyz with their own nob with power klaw! Thats another 12 wounds on the board just for switching to geico. Just a thing to keep in mind is to ask yourself "this upgrade costs x amount which means I can get y amount of extra boys for the same cost is it worth thay many boys?" and you should be on a good track to making sure.you have enough targets for your opponent to not know what to shoot first.

Also, don't forget your gretchin have a runt herder with them so they have 11 models
